In accordance with their water flow, the banks of the Rivers Sadar and Elorz have narrower lines of trees than those of the River Arga.
Three types of vegetation can be defined:
- Garden areas in University campus areas: very pleasant, but offer little shade to scant river waters.
- Naturalised areas: with abundant natural vegetation, where numerous hybrid poplars have reproduced of their own accord.
- Areas with no arboreal vegetation, corresponding to stretches of bank subject to major intervention and where the riverbeds are covered with crack willow and bulrushes.
